Procedures for Submission of Nomination Forms in Respect of Anambra State Governorship Election, 2013

RE: REMINDER ON PROCEDURES FOR SUBMISSION OF NOMINATION FORMS IN RESPECT OF ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION, 2013

 

Please refer to the Time-Table and Schedule of Activities for Anambra State Governorship Election, 2013 already distributed to all registered political parties.

 

2.         Following the conclusion of Party Primaries on 2nd September, 2013, political parties are reminded on the following procedures for submission of the list of candidates each political party proposes to sponsor at the election:

 

a)        Every political party shall submit the list of the candidates the party proposes to sponsor in Form CF 002 duly signed by the National Chairman and National Secretary of the Political Party.

 

b)        The list shall be accompanied with a covering letter duly signed by the National Chairman and National Secretary of the Political Party together with the Affidavit of personal particulars of each candidate duly sworn before the prescribed Commission for Oaths.

 

c)         All submissions to the Commission shall first be made to the Department of Elections and Party Monitoring for clearance at the Headquarters of the Commission at Maitama, Abuja, on or before 17th September, 2013.  No submissions made to the Commission later than 6.00pm on 17th September, 2013 shall be accepted.

 

d)        Upon clearance, the submissions shall thereafter be forwarded to the Legal Services Department where the submissions shall be acknowledged and copy of the acknowledgment issued to the political party.

 

3.         Political Parties are particularly advised to note that where there is a Court Order in respect of the nomination of any candidate the political party shall be guided by the order at the time of submission.
